Another positive biodiversity project safely and successfully implemented. We identified this site as a potential peregrine nesting site and installed this artificial peregrine nesting box. This nesting box affords the peregrines a safe place which somewhat mimics their natural nesting habitats.

Peregrine falcons are Ireland’s largest falcon and as the fastest member of the animal kingdom they are a very impressive bird. Peregrines are a key indicator species and their presence offers an encouraging picture of the surrounding ecological system. For our client this is a positive way in which to manage their environmental impact in a worthy manner. By offering the species every encouragement to nest and hopefully successfully rear chicks in this area is one further step in the conservation of these incredible raptors.
